Loads of TDK

Ohh DARK KNIGHT… you tease us more than that extremely expensive hookerescort I spent my vacation pay on last week. And that’s saying something! Seriously though… I can’t remember the last time a movie was this widely anticipated. STAR WARS maybe? Eh, that wasn’t anticipated by me, so we’ll pass.

Midnight and IMAX showings are ALREADY selling out around the country… that’s pretty insane. Needless to say THE DARK KNIGHT is going to be huge… I’m sure I don’t have to go over the details for you, so we’ll just skip right through all that.

We’ve got various little updates throughout this great thing called the internet on THE DARK KNIGHT for you to salivate to over the weekend.

First up is the news coming from The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Bros. have announced that they’ll be dedicating THE DARK KNIGHT to a pair of guys who tragically lost their lives this past year.

“In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe.”

Not much more needs to be said there. We all know Heath Ledger. In case you don’t know Mr. Wickliffe, he was a special effects technician who lost his life on the DARK KNIGHT set while filming a stunt involving the Batmobile. That dedication is just going to make this movie even better than it already seems to be.

Which brings me to my next update. The first reviews for THE DARK KNIGHT are showing up, mainly I’m talking about one from big time film critic Peter Travers, who works for this magazine calling Rolling Stone. Check out his POSSIBLY SPOILERIFIC review right over here.

Man, does he bash the hell out of THE DARK KNIGHT. He’s basically going on a limb and saying it’s the worst movie since GLITTER… and of course I’m kidding. .. Not about GLITTER though, about Traver’s review. He puts DARK KNIGHT on a pedestal that I’m sure we’ll all push higher and higher once we catch the flick for ourselves.

Comcast also have several DARK KNIGHT updates with some featurettes over here and some Gotham Cable News updates starring Anthony Michael Hall right over here.

And lastly, there’s a cool little fanmade video entitled ‘Battle of the Batmans’ right over here. I won’t even bother explaining that one… the title should explain it all.

So there’s your DARK KNIGHT update to hold you over for the weekend. Make sure to come back next week, where I’m sure we’ll have at least 47 more DARK KNIGHT updates for you.
