In December we heard Luke Evans might be leaving Relativity Media's THE CROW reboot, and just last week Evans said he wasn't sure what was going on with the movie. Well, The Wrap has now learned that the actor has officially dropped out of the planned film.

Luke Evans' publicist told the site since production has been delayed, he has decided to exit THE CROW "to pursue other projects." The good news is director Corin Hardy will be able to handpick (with Relativity Media's approval, of course) who he wants to play Eric Draven/The Crow. Hardy will reportedly start meeting with actors for the role after his movie THE HALLOW premieres at Sundance.

I'm not against THE CROW reboot like some, however at this point I do wonder if it is actually going to happen. The film has burned through several actors and directors, and I don't know how many more will join (and then leave) the project before Relativity Media decides it just isn't worth the trouble.
