Madelines trailer: Brea Grant has to kill a few thousand copies of herself in sci-fi horror comedy

Gravitas Ventures hasn’t announced when they’re going to release the sci-fi horror comedy Madelines, but a trailer has just been released online, so that has to be a good sign. You can watch the trailer in the embed above and see if a movie about Brea Grant (Rob Zombie’s Halloween II) having to kill a few thousand copies of herself looks like a good time to you.

Directed by Jason R. Miller from a screenplay he and Grant wrote together, Madelines has the following synopsis:

Working in their garage, indie entrepreneurs Madeline and Owen discover the secret of time travel. There’s only one hitch: a bug in the code creates a new copy of Madeline at the same time every day…

Grant is joined in the cast by Parry Shen and Richard Riehle, both of whom were in Adam Green’s Hatchet. Shen went on to have roles in all of the Hatchet sequels as well, playing three different characters over the course of the four movies. Grant and Green share a few credits, but she hasn’t made it into a Hatchet movie. Yet.

Madelines is a Bossk VFX-GMMG Films production. Ed Dougherty produced the film, with Po Gonzaga co-producing and Miller executive producing alongside Tarek Kutrieh.

Miller previously directed the films Unidentified and Bloodhound. Grant wrote the films Best Friends Forever, 12 Hour Shift, and Lucky. She also directed Best Friends Forever and 12 Hour Shift. She’s currently in post-production on the movie Tattered Hearts, which she directed for Blumhouse and Epix.

I’m a fan of Grant, Shen, and Riehle, so I look forward to checking out Madelines at some point. We’ll let you know when Gravitas Ventures reveals how and when they’re going to release the film.
