Maisie Williams is getting a jaeger if Pacific Rim 2 happens

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last we heard of PACIFIC RIM 2, Universal decided to delay production "so that the creative team can continue in its efforts to exceed the amazing experience of the first film." Right. No one has tossed around the word, "cancelled" yet, but it's doubtful many people are holding their breath either. That's a real shame, as Guillermo del Toro just shared an exciting bit of casting news if PACIFIC RIM 2 does make it to production.

Maisie Williams has long been kicking ass as Arya Stark on HBO's Game of Thrones, so it's just a matter of time before she makes the transition to the silver screen. While it's rumored that she's up for a major role in the eventual Last of Us adaptation, it seems del Toro was smitten enough with the young woman to guarantee her an ass-kicking role in a movie that may or may not happen. In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if Ms. Williams ends up in a del Toro feature of some kind down the road.

Do you find Maisie Williams as charming as Guillermo del Toro did?
