Blue Underground has announced a November 16th release date for 4K UHD + Blu-ray sets of the slasher sequels Maniac Cop 2 and Maniac Cop 3. They have also revealed the list of special features that will be on the discs – including a Maniac Cop 2 audio commentary with Drive director / Maniac Cop fan Nicolas Winding Refn and a Maniac Cop 3 commentary from the director who disowned the troubled film.

Copies of the Maniac Cop 2 4K UHD + Blu-ray set can be pre-ordered at THIS LINK. The Maniac Cop 3 set can be pre-ordered HERE.

Original Synopsis

Maniac Cop 2 is one of the best sequels ever, a rare one that manages to be even better than a great predecessor. Maniac Cop 3 isn’t so good, but it was defended in a recent episode of our The Black Sheep video series (watch it in the embed above). If you haven’t seen these movies before, the trilogy is definitely worth checking out.

Nicolas Winding Refn has been attached to produce a Maniac Cop remake or reboot TV show for years, but for some reason we still haven’t gotten either one of those things.
