Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Boston’s golden boys come from humble beginnings and have made it to the tippy-top of the film industry. Both have been box office draws for years since breaking out in the mid-90s with GOOD WILL HUNTING, which nabbed them the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. They’ve had ups, they’ve had downs; they’ve collaborated, drifted apart, and teamed up together again. There’s been superhero tights, astronaut costumes, and funny haircuts galore… looking at you The Last Duel. They’ve even had the opportunity to poke fun at their respective resumes in Kevin Smith’s JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. So in a battle of Matt Damon vs Ben Affleck, who comes out on top?

Last year, the duo reunited for revisionist period piece, THE LAST DUEL, with Ridley Scott, and Affleck was recently seen in the erotic thriller DEEP WATER alongside ex-fling Ana de Armas. Damon, meanwhile, is due for another cameo in a THOR film when LOVE AND THUNDER drops later this year, as well as starring in Christopher Nolan’s next A-list orgy, OPPENHEIMER.

With Affleck also staring down the superhero barrel at one last turn as Batman in next year’s long-awaited THE FLASH, what better time to compare and contrast the careers of two Hollywood heavyweights — and best friends?
