THE FOUNDER aims to tell the true story of how an Illinois salesman in the 1950s, Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), meets brothers Mac (John Carroll Lynch) and Dick McDonald (Nick Offerman) operating a hamburger restaurant in southern California. Kroc subtly maneuvers himself into a position to take control of the company, which of course grows into one of the world's most well-known fast food brands. Check out the first trailer below!
First BIRDMAN, then SPOTLIGHT and now THE FOUNDER. There is no question that Michael Keaton is back and with a vengeance! The man is eating up some deliciously juicy roles and THE FOUNDER looks to give us that SOCIAL NETWORK angle when it comes to everyone's favorite place to get some fries. While it's a bit of an odd move to release a movie like this during the summer movie season, it just may pay off for those seeking solace from the CG action fest coming our way.
THE FOUNDER hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
