In about one month we will get to sail the seas with the team of Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne Johnson) in Disney’s MOANA. Until then we have to stay on land like a bunch of fools and be patient, which I have no patience for. However, Disney was nice enough to give us our first full clip from the movie, which sort of eases my…uneasiness. The clip is of a conflict of communication between the two protagonists, and illustrates their dynamic more than the details of the story itself. It also proves that Maui is a bit of a dick. Disney has been on a hot streak in both the live-action and animation departments in the last few years, and I have no doubt MOANA will meet the expectations set by everything else they've been doing. The movie looks visually dazzling and promises an immense adventure across the seas. This clip reminds us that the movie will truly be about these two characters, and how their relationship will evolve and develop throughout the film. Oh please let them become friends! I will demand my money back if they do not become friends!
