Moon Knight: New posters show the many sides of Oscar Isaac’s titular character

New posters for the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series Moon Knight have been released and they show the many sides of the character played by Oscar Isaac.

The first of the new posters feature the actor without his mask although we don’t know exactly which persona he is channeling in this image. It could be Marc Spector, Steven Grant, or even another alter altogether. The image shows him as he stands pulling up the hood on his white hoodie, as both Moon Knight and Mr. Knight, two of Marc’s very distinct and separate alters, loom behind him. The other posters rotate the same format, with the second giving the spotlight to Moon Knight. The third poster has Mr. Knight on display and this is the second image of this alter we have seen after a character poster was released last week. You can check out the new posters below!

A key plotline in the upcoming series is that Steven doesn’t know that he’s actually Marc Spector or Moon Knight. He also certainly doesn’t know about Mr. Knight as all four personas are part of Steven’s Dissociative Identity Disorder. This alone makes me eagerly await the release of this series.

Per the official synopsis for the show, “The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”

The Moon Knight series was first announced in August of 2019 and Mohamed Diab was chosen to lead the directing team. Diab directed the first four episodes of the series while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead were chosen to direct the other two. Filming began in late April 2021 in Budapest, followed by production in Jordan, which concluded in early October before moving to Atlanta, Georgia.

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes. Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater, and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers. Grant Curtis, Trevor Waterson, and Rebecca Kirsch serve as co-executive producers.
