I’ve been keeping you updated with all the flicks announced for Slasher Pool‘s Insomnifest. The flicks announced this far are DEAD FLOOR, THECAMPUSHOUSE.COM, and the two I told you about a couple days ago, SHROUDED and LEFT FOR DEAD.
Well we’ve got word today on the next two films announced for the fest, and they both look like winners. THE GRIEF and GUTTERBALLS.
The synopsis for GUTTERBALLS reads: A brutally sadistic rape leads to a series of bizarre gory murders during a midnight disco bowl-a-rama at a popular bowling alley. One by one, players of two teams meet blood-drenched gruesome deaths at the hand of a black bowling-gloved masked killer. This alley will run red with blood by sunrise and the shocking twist that reveals the killer will shock even the most jaded viewer! You can check out the trailer over here. It’s directed by Ryan Nicholson (LIVE FEED) and stars Nathan Dashwood, Mihola Terzic, Jeremy Beland, Alastair Gamble, Dan Ellis, and Wade Gibb.
THE GRIEF centers on a group of students that are making a documentary on the legend of Norah Ashtor, a woman which is said to have been killed in the 19th century since the locals thought that she was a witch. Unfortunately for them, this is one legend that they shouldn’t have messed with. Soon enough, the ghost of Norah Ashtor is back and her wrath is stronger than ever before… See the trailer over here. It’s directed by Daniel Lehmussaari and stars Björn Bengtsson, Liina Lindblad, Jonas Sandberg, Anna Sommardal, Peter Strandgårdh, and Therese Landström.
Although neither that original, GUTTERBALLS and THE GRIEF look like they may not be that bad. GUTTERBALLS looks like a fun, campy slasher that takes place in a bowling alley, can’t really go wrong there. And THE GRIEF looks like a sweet ghost story that has itself on the right track.
So be sure to check those two out during Insomnifest.
