Alright this whole he-said, she-said thing regarding whether or not PROMETHEUS is tied to ALIEN in some way is just getting ridiculous. Hell yesterday I was showing you guys some awesome shots from the flick and now here I am with more talk on how PROMETHEUS is… or isn’t… tied to the ALIEN universe.
You see along with those new shots Entertainment Weekly put out they also had a chance to chat with some of the flick’s stars, more specifically both Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. So what did the talented stars have to say?
Michael Fassbender: “There’s definitely a link to Alien. There’s creatures in it that you’ll recognize.”
Charlize Theron: “I think people should really let go of the idea that it’s an Alien film.”
And we’re back to square one. These folks should really get their story straight!
Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Along with Theron and Fassbender the highly anticipated Ridley Scott film is also set to star Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Ben Foster, Logan Marshall-Green and Patrick Wilson. It invades theaters on June 8, 2012 so expect a lot more PROMETHEUS updates between now and then.
