Best Movie & TV Trailers of the Week: Buster Scruggs, Sabrina & more

Welcome, loyal JoBlo readers! This is Best Movie and TV Trailers of the Week, where we take the very best previews we saw over the long week and compile them all in one spot for you, just in case you were out and about navigating this mad, mad, mad world that is life. We’re nice like that.

This week was pretty weak on the movie trailers front. We got some glimpses of some more under-the-radar movies like CAPTIVE STATE from Rupert Wyatt (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) and PRIVATE LIFE with Kathryn Hahn (STEP BROTHERS). But the cream of the movie crop was the first trailer for the new Western anthology from the Coen Brothers – THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS. The festival darling looks to have all the hallmarks of the duo’s past work while sporting an impressive cast.

The TV front had some more big titles among the ranks, including small teasers for the third season of DAREDEVIL and the 22nd season of SOUTH PARK. What had most folks talking was the first teaser trailer for the Netflix series CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, which offered a first look at the dark, evil take on the comic book character – and it looks wickedly awesome.
