With all the talk of Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE finally getting it’s release via HBO Max in 2021, folks are starting to think of other long-rumoured director’s cuts that, they feel, deserve to see the light of day. One such movie is David Ayer’s SUICIDE SQUAD, which infamously went through heavy re-edits and cuts, and ended with much of Jared Leto’s turn as The Joker ending up on the cutting room floor.

In a Twitter exchange with Frosty from Collider, Ayer seemed eager to restore his cut, writing “my cut would be easy to complete. It would be incredibly cathartic for me. It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the Edward Scissorhands treatment. The film I made has never been seen.” So – could David Ayer’s SUCIDE SQUAD be on the way? From my perspective, it seems it could only be a good thing, so bring it on!
