Thanks to the snazzy announcement trailer below, we now know exactly when the second season of Daredevil will be available on Netflix: March 18, 2016. So much for the rumored Marvel-DC showdown on March 25th! The trailer doesn't have any footage from the highly-anticipated sophomore season of the comic book television series and is essentially just a recap of the first season, but it's still pretty damn cool in my opinion, and it gives us a nice little Punisher (who will be played by The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal) tease at the end.

Take a look:

The upcoming season has been described as "Daredevil vs The Punisher," and it will also introduce us to Elektra Natchios (played by G.I. JOE: RETALIATION's Elodie Yung), a former girlfriend from Matt Murdock's college days.

Across the globe, the streets just got safer. #Daredevil #NetflixEverywhere

During a recent conversation with Empire (via ComicBook.com), star Charlie Cox said "I think every single man has an Elektra in their past," before going to say "If you imagine that relationship, a very fiery, very lustful, very loving and hating relationship, and then you add to that two people who know serious martial arts, you're going to have an interesting dynamic." When do you think the first full Daredevil Season 2 trailer will be released?
