Even animation isn’t safe: FXX’s Archer premiere delayed

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

ARCHER fans are about to despise the coronavirus pandemic more than they already do, because it's just been announced that the show's eleventh season premiere date has been pushed back on account of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

The animated series was expected to return for its Season 11 premiere on May 6, though FX Networks has recently cited "production challenges and scheduling issues" as the reason for the postponement. ARCHER is the second FX Networks series whose premiere date has been delayed due to complications related to the pandemic.

Previously, FARGO's expected April 19 premiere on FX was also delayed on account of the show's production shutdown last month. FARGO's upcoming season is headlined by Chris Rock and takes place in Kansas City, MO during the year 1950. Joining Rock for the upcoming installment of the anthology series are Timothy Olyphant, Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, Jessie Buckley, Salvatore Esposito, Andrew Bird, Jeremie Harris, Gaetano Bruno, Anji White, Francesco Acquaroli,, E’myri Crutchfield, Amber Midthunder, Uzo Aduba and new series regular James Vincent Meredith.

For the moment, a new premiere date for the eleventh season of ARCHER has yet to be announced.
