First official look at Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Last year THE HUNGER GAMES took the world by fire and this year’s sequel, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, will likely do just the same.  In fact, Wall Street analyst Richard Geeenfield of BTIG weighed in on his predictions for the 2013 film slate, naming the sequel to Suzanne Collins renowned series to be the top earner for the year.  Today, EW released the first official images of star Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair. Katniss is looking very much like she did in the original, just with some new color accents and shiny arrows, while Finnick looks ready for a show on the CW at any moment.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
