Hobbs & Shaw scores Super Bowl LIII trailer preview, Star Wars sidelined

It would appear as if the Force is not with this year's Super Bowl celebration, as it's being reported by Deadline that a trailer for STAR WARS: EPISODE XI will not be a part of the annual gridiron gathering. For some, this will come as a major disappointment, seeing as Super Bowl LIII is lining up to be an evening chock-full of hilarious commercials, blockbuster movie teases and trailers, and oh yeah, football. Arguably, Super Bowl Sunday would be a great time for Disney to reveal the first tease for J.J. Abrams' hotly-anticipated Star Wars sequel. However, it's important to keep in mind that Star Wars can do whatever it damn well pleases, seeing as any reveal related to the franchise is often an event in and of itself. With that said, I'm certain that the studio will dazzle us all with Episode IX footage when they're good and ready, so buck up, Force Fanatics.

With STAR WARS: EPISODE IX set to warm the bench, you're probably wondering about what advertisers have planned for the big game. Well, it sounds as if you can bet on there being a teaser trailer for FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW, the Fast spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham as US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, respectively.

Furthermore, there are also rumblings that Disney will unveil new trailers for several of their upcoming films, such as CAPTAIN MARVEL, AVENGERS: ENDGAME, DUMBO, ALADDIN, and TOY STORY 4. Oh, but before you start busting out your groovy touchdown dance moves in celebration, understand that Disney has yet to confirm that any new trailers are indeed set to air that evening. It's more of a "logic dictates" type of situation, seeing at The House of Mouse always brings a few surprises to the sensational sports-related show.

Lastly, for all of you animation enthusiasts out there, we've heard that Paramount plans to debut a pre-game spot for WONDER PARK, their upcoming animated feature from Nickelodeon Movies. Starring Mila Kunis (THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME, BLACK SWAN) Brianna Denski (KILLING KHAN, WISHIN' AND HOPIN'), Jennifer Garner (PEPPERMINT, 13 GOING ON 30), and Ken Hudson Campbell (GROUNDHOGS DAY, HOME ALONE), WONDER PARK tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.
