Yee-haw! Grab your six-shooters, point 'em in the air and let 'er rip! Oh, but after you do that, get the hell out of the way, because eventually those slugs come back down. Why am I tellin' y'all to reach for the sky? Well, it's because Michael Jai White has just informed the world that pre-production has finally begun on the OUTLAW JOHNNY BLACK project!

White enthusiastically announced the film's pre-production efforts courtesy of a brief "thank you" video to supporters of the project via Twitter on Thursday. In the footage, White goes on to say that his company, Jaigantic Studios, has the perfect the partnership, and together, they'll be bringing you the type of movies you’ll never see anywhere else.

Here's the official synopsis for THE OUTLAW JOHHNY BLACK, a film from the brothers who brought you BLACK DYNAMITE:

Hell bent on avenging the death of his father, Johnny Black vows to gun down Brett Clayton and becomes a wanted man in the process while posing as a preacher in a small mining town that’s been taken over by a notorious Land Baron.

THE OUTLAW JOHNNY BLACK is set to be directed by Scott Sanders, with White and Byron Minns writing the script. White will also star as Outlaw Johnny Black, and will be joined by both Kym Whitley and Byraon Minns, among others, for the rootin' tootin' Western action adventure.
