In a little over two weeks, the first massive movie of 2018 will arrive in BLACK PANTHER. Already the movie is pacing to open at well over $100 million and could have one of the biggest solo openings in the MCU. There are plenty of factors that could contribute to this movie being a hit, but all you really need to do is look at this new TV spot with music from Kendrick Lamar to grasp the biggest reason: because it looks f**king amazing. The action looks off the charts in some new footage, and there’s even a bit of dramatic heft in a few shots, particularly with T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) holding his Black Panther mask, a moment reminiscent of THE DARK KNIGHT. Check out the new TV spot above and prepare to chant “long live the king!"
The movie looks sicker and sicker with each new piece of footage, and needless to say, Marvel has another mega-smash on their hands. The social media embargo for the movie is expected to lift any time now, so stay tuned for some of the earliest reactions to the movie, which will hopefully hail it as the new king of the Marvel universe.
