Prepare for the future with Minority Report TV spot and premiere date

Based on the film of the same name, Minority Report marks the first of Steven Spielberg's films to be adapted for television. The story will be a sequel of sorts taking place 10 years after Pre-Crime has shut down. The show will follow an unlikely partnership between one of the "precognatives" who is able to see the future, and a cop haunted by her past as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen. Starring Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Wilmer Valderrama, and Nick Zano, you can check out the latest TV spot and synopsis below!

Set in Washington, D.C., precog Dash (Stark Sands) – driven by his terrifying, but fragmented visions – now has returned in secret to help a brash, but shrewd, police detective, Lara Vega (Meagan Good), attempt to stop the murders that he predicts.

As they navigate this future America, they will forge an uneasy alliance with Dash’s manipulative twin brother, Arthur (Nick Zano), an empire-builder who uses his ability to advance his own self-interest and elude others who will stop at nothing to exploit their precognitive abilities. Also complicating matters is Vega’s newly appointed boss Will Blake (Wilmer Valderrama), and Dash and Arthur’s ingenious, but reclusive, foster sister, Agatha (Laura Regan), who only wants the best for her two brothers, but may be playing a longer game than anybody knows.

The series, written by Max Borenstein, presents an interesting look at the events after the film. The idea that the 2 precognative brothers need each other in order to use their abilities to their fullest effect is an intriguing one, especially given that they both have a different agenda. You can check out our San Diego Comic Con review of the pilot episode here, but audiences will have to wait until September 21st to see if our heroes can successfully stop crimes before they happen.

Minority Report premieres Monday, September 21 9/8c on Fox, following Gotham.
