You’re probably expecting a completely different type of comedy from that headline, but CARNAGE is Roman Polanski’s latest, an ensemble comedy about four parents who are trying to reconcile a fight between their children.
Sony Pictures Classics just sent over this clip from the film right on the heels of the first trailer. The film stars Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz, who you probably never knew was so funny after his incredible villainy in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.
The official synopsis- CARNAGE is a razor sharp, biting comedy centered on parental differences. After two boys duke it out on a playground, the parents of the “victim” invite the parents of the “bully” over to work out their issues. A polite discussion of child-rearing soon escalates into verbal warfare, with all four parents revealing their true colors. None of them will escape the carnage. You can probably guess right from the picture above which couple is which.
