UPDATE: Full two-minute trailer added below!

Anticipation continues to build for the new revival season of The X-Files and now you can add a new trailer to stoke that fire. Reuniting Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) to continue their secretive investigations into the paranormal, show creator Chris Carter is back, as are the old team of writers including James Wong, Glen Morgan, and Darin Morgan, who will pen all-new "monster-of-the-week" episodes for the mini, with Carter saying,“These are all brand new stories. We hope to scare you in brand new ways.” Sounds good to me. Now, let's get a look at that trailer, shall we?

"We've never been in more danger."

As a fan of the series back in it's heyday I couldn't be more excited to see The X-Files return. I felt the first film was a solid entry as a feature, but was completely let down by the second film, I WANT TO BELIEVE. I always thought it would be best to return to the TV roots, so my hopes are high that they can recapture the magic of the show, while bringing it into a new era (and to new audiences). Mulder and Scully are a timeless duo and it's exciting just to have them back in the mix. Set your DVR's accordingly.

The X-Files returns on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 10 p.m. on Fox.
