Woody and Forky meet the creepy doll Gabby Gabby in Toy Story 4 clip

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

This year’s CHILD'S PLAY remake and ANNABELLE COMES HOME may have the creepiest dolls of the summer, but that doesn’t mean the upcoming animated movie TOY STORY 4 can’t have one of its own. In the new clip from Pixar’s latest, veteran toy Woody (Tom Hanks) and the makeshift Forky (Tony Hale) meet the suspicious and creepy porcelain doll Gabby Gabby (Christina Hendricks) and her somehow creepier butler of sorts, Benson. I know I know, one’s animated and one’s live action, but something tells me Gabby and Chucky would be very happy together.

Much like Ned Beatty’s fluffy pink bear, Lotso, in TOY STORY 3, Gabby seems like nothing but sunshine and rainbows at the start and wants nothing but to help Woody and Forky navigate the antique store as they search for Bo Peep (Annie Potts). But we must not be swayed by her bright pleasantness, as that ceramic smile will likely soon turn crooked as her nefarious plans are teased when she sees Woody’s pullstring in the reflection. But Forky certainly doesn't seem to be aware of anything else, only taking time to say "I'm trash" upon his introduction. Self-esteem issues much?

The first clip comes as the new movie is only one week away from release, and it’s already poised to be one of the biggest hits of the summer, if not the biggest. When tickets went on sale last week they blew past the first-day presale record for an animated movie on Fandango, putting in on track for as high as a $200 million opening weekend.

Here's the synopsis:

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody’s slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they’re worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.

TOY STORY 4 is in theaters June 21.
