X-Men – From Page To Screen (video)

First appearing in X-Men #1 in September 1963, Marvel's X-Men have remained a staple on the comic shelves for decades, while making a successful transition to the big screen in 2000 with director Bryan Singer's X-MEN. It was one of the first films that ushered in the modern era of superhero films and helped to prove that it can be done at a time when Hollywood wasn't really buying into the genre outside of Batman or Superman. Now, we have a comic book movie smorgasbord, filled with A-list talent, competing brands, and universe building to boot. For better or for worse, a big part of that trend catching fire has to do with Singer's X-MEN.
