Myers a Bastard

Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTARDS is really shaping up. When every name cast in a movie is news-worthy you know we’re going to be in for something big. That’s exactly what’s happening with BASTARDS… but the cast we’re talking about is a bit … out there.

Let’s take a look at what we’ve got. Major twisted genious Quentin Tarantino is finally getting to do a dream project of his, remaking a B movie from the 1970s called INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. It’s generally about a group of Jewish-American soldiers who’re out to do nothing but kill as many Nazis as possible during World War II, with a couple other stories thrown in.

Alright, that’s all fine and dandy, sounds like all out Nazi killing fun right? Well Tarantino’s cast thus far includes Brad Pitt and Eli Roth as a couple of the titular Bastards with the following names in talks to star as well: Simon Pegg as an English lieutenant, Nastassja Kinski as a German movie star, and the duo of David Krumholtz and BJ Novak as a couple Bastards as well. Other names being talked about in conjunction with BASTARDS have been Leonardo Dicaprio, Tim Roth, Corey Feldman, and Adam Sandler. So the next logical name to join this insane cast would be Mike Myers (above). Obviously.

No, I’m not joking. Variety are reporting that Mike Myers has officially signed onto INGLORIOUS BASTARDS to play the British General Ed Fench. There’s still a number of roles left open, including more Bastards, the main villain, the female lead, Winston Churchill, and that Hitler guy. So I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more BASTARDS casting news before the October 13 production start date.

The gorgeous Jessica Alba starred in Myers’ last attempt at a movie.
