Twitter is taking over the world. Don’t believe me? This is the third story here at AITH in under 24 hours that’s coming directly from ‘Tweets’ or ‘Twitters’ or something of the like. First we were stalking Darren Lynn Bousman then the new Freddy Krueger Jackie Earl Haley and now 90s slasher screenwriter Kevin Williamson!
As I’m sure you all know by now, Williamson has been tapped to write not only SCREAM 4… but SCREAM 5 and 6 as well! Well Williamson has ‘tweeted’ some interesting updates for the new trilogy…
“Come on Sid! Say yes! Please!!!!!! I’m begging!!!!!”
“Trying to figure out a Sid-less scenario. She won’t do it. This sucks”
“Doing the S4 thing today. Moving forward with all my characters regardless…it’s the story I wanna tell.”
Could this mean one Neve Campbell has promptly declined to reprise her role as Sidney ‘Sid’ Prescott in the new films? That seems to be the case! What does it mean? And Williamson obviously writing the scripts with Prescott’s return in mind? What the hell is going on anyway? So this new trilogy is looking to concentrate on a new group of characters but both Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette are returning with the return of Neve Campbell being a bigger deal then we thought… Intriguing.
I’m a big fan of the SCREAM franchise and I want to look forward to these new films so much… but I just don’t know yet! Keep it here for more as we hear it!
