Tim Burton’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND isn’t slated for release until March 5, 2010 but it feels like we’ve already seen a truckload of media for it! THE ROAD opens later this month and I think I’ve seen more of The Mad Hatter than Viggo Mortensen. We’re just going to roll with it!
Today another ALICE IN WONDERLAND update hit the net in the form of a couple new photos… First up above you’ll find a new poster for the flick, courtesy of The Mad Hatter’s Facebook. That crazy bastard slapped up a status stating: “I’m not confident that I have the strength of my army behind me. I have something I want to share, but you haven’t made me feel very liked. Do you want to see what I see? Then start shouting for it! I won’t release it until I’ve received 1,000 Likes. Please, begin the praise now!” Once that limit was reached the Mad one updated us all with that poster above and this message: “Oh my, my, my. Flattering! I have three treasures for my subjects, but what kind of leader would I be if I gave them to you all at once? Here’s the first – a morsel to appease. I used to hat the White Queen, but there’s not much for me to work with. Her head is so small. Interested in seeing even more? Then I need 7,5…00 Likes! Spread the word!”
So what could the next prize be? Well if you scroll below you’ll find a whole landscape shot from the flick courtesy of Deviantart. Just click through to check out a much larger shot. As you can see the right side of the landscape happens to be the exact poster above! I’d bet good money The Hatter’s next two prizes are two more posters that make up that scene below. What do you think? This isn’t rocket science folks.
That shot below is actually pretty awesome though, giving us a great look at all the characters, including the first look at the Caterpillar! What a stoner. ALICE IN WONDERLAND will combine live action, 3-D and CGI and stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway (below), Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Christopher Lee, Michael Sheen and Matt Lucas.
