We are just over a week away from the theatrical premiere of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and Marvel continues to throw sneak peaks our way in the form of clips from the film. After an extended look a few days ago, some new clips have appeared giving us some new depth in how these characters will look and interact on screen.

Specifically, these clips feature the planning of the prison break the characters must undertake at the beginning of the film as well as Chris Pratt‘s Star-Lord negotiating with Drax to not kill Gamora. Both clips are very short and do not reveal a lot of the movie, but we finally get to see the dynamic and interaction between these five miscreants.

As suspected, Gamora is a bit cold, Groot is hilariously simple, Rocket is a smart-ass, and Star-Lord is a smarmy leader who I can easily see being very popular with fans. The only hesitation I see here is Dave Bautista as Drax. His delivery is very amateurish and he just doesn’t seem like the right fit. But, I am basing this off of one 90 second moment from the movie. Based on all of the other goodness, I will still give him the benefit of the doubt.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hits theaters on August 1st.
