New images of Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 might have a spoiler

It looks like it was a busy weekend of filming for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. A chase scene was filmed that involved Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich AKA The Rhino and director Marc Webb tweeted the first official picture of the character on Saturday. While the picture itself isn't a spoiler there is a potential one further down so if you don't want to know about possible plot details I wouldn't scroll past the tweet from Webb. I say this because the title of the video below has the spoiler in it so be careful.

The fan site Seven Webheads also has some new images from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 that are of the same chase scene and they have compiled it into a video with some interesting commentary about how Aleksei Sytsevich might transform into The Rhino, based on a prop that appears in one of the pictures. Take a look:

I don't think it's too much of a surprise that they'll be going with the serum route for The Rhino, if Seven Webheads' theory is true. I wonder if the serum is going to just affect his skin so the character will have more of the classic look or if he'll have a full transformation like Dr. Connors as the Lizard in the first film. Either way, I'm very interested in seeing how The Rhino will look in the new film.

Also starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper and Sally Field, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 swings back into theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
