New It: Chapter Two trailer finds Pennywise returning for the Losers Club

Last night the Losers Club reunited on stage during Scare Diego for a group interview by Conan O’Brien where they recounted some of their favorite memories from working on IT: CHAPTER TWO. Before it all got underway, they screened the freaky new trailer for the movie, and per the reactions, Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) did not disappoint in scaring the bejesus out of the crowd. Now the time has come to see what they were all talking by watching the brand-new trailer for the horror sequel.

If the first teaser trailer was the terrifying appetizer, then this new one if a full course meal of nightmare-inducing imagery, including the returning Pennywise chasing down members of the adult Club and putting them through more hell than the clown did when they were kids. In that first trailer that meant luring poor Beverly Marsh (Jessica Chastain) into a false sense of security, before creepily dancing in the kitchen and charging at her in some demon form. Here, everyone is having is a bad time, like Bill (James McAvoy) getting chased through a house of terrors, and others being terrorized via mind-bending hallucinations.

This is a nightmarishly wild and freaky trailer, teasing more blood and crazier set pieces than before, with the cast (including Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Andy Bean) looking like they got put through some serious ringers. Pennywise also sounds pissed and far more desperate than the last time, having waited almost three decades to get his revenge. Even if the last movie didn't pull any punches, this new one looks like it will truly unleash the terror of Stephen King's novel, which means September can't come soon enough.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “IT CHAPTER TWO” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film. James McAvoy (“Split,” upcoming “Glass”) stars as Bill, Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Mama”) as Beverly, Bill Hader (HBO’s “Barry,” “The Skeleton Twins”) as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa (TV’s “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”) as Mike, Jay Ryan (TV’s “Mary Kills People”) as Ben, James Ransone (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Eddie, and Bill Skarsgård returning in the seminal role of Pennywise. Andy Bean (“Allegiant,” Starz’ “Power”) plays Stanley, and reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie.

IT: CHAPTER TWO is in theaters September 6.
