New Jupiter Ascending character posters include a bewildered Sean Bean

Lana and Andy Wachowski‘s JUPITER ASCENDING got a big release date shove earlier this year so now it’s starting up the marketing again it looks like with some cool new posters. The designs include Mila Kunis as Jupiter Jones, Channing Tatum as Caine, Eddie Redmayne, and Sean Bean. Bean’s poster stands out as the obvious miss; that facial expression, unless his character is very dim, doesn’t suit the material. I could be wrong though, maybe that “I just heard a noise” looks plays a big part in the film.

Here’s the official synopsis:

From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, “Jupiter Ascending” tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

A very slight difference can be found among the posters, zoom in and you will see that while three of the posters have the Jupiter Ascending hashtag on them, Bean’s has cwastronomers.org printed on it. There isn’t much to see on the site right now, but that will likely change as we get close to its release.

JUPITER ASCENDING arrives in theaters in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D on February 6, 2015.
