I’m sorry, but I’m not sold on THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR. The first two MUMMY films were entertaining, but nothing out of left field, they were fun. But the drastic differences with this one are just too much to keep me into it. Sure, Maria Bello is gorgeous and I’d take her over Rachel Weisz anyday, but still.
The only things Brendan Fraser has been doing are independant films like JOURNEY TO THE END OF THE NIGHT and THE LAST TIME, so to throw him back into a blockbuster like this just seems weird. It’s good to see John Hannah returning, but in my opinion the main downpoint is no Arnold Vosloo. The man owned all hell as Imhotep.
So even though the movie hasn’t caught my interest at all, I’m here showing you all a couple new stills for the film. The first one has Brendan Fraser going all crazy and jumping down a large set of tomb-like stairs again. The second has Fraser and Maria Bello all dressed up. Scope those out above and below.
