So what do you think? This TV spot arguably gives us a lot more insight than that teaser trailer did. Looks like we’ve got a nice handful of Jigsaw’s devices in this one… but what about plot? Previous installments have been pretty cool in the contraption department but lack plotwise. Let’s hope this one doesn’t go down that route… Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.
Finally understood huh? I won’t hold my breath. Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Shawnee Smith and Betsy Russell all return in one form or another on October 23rd!
