Thanksgiving is tomorrow in the United States, but over on the official Scream Movies Twitter account they’re celebrating “Friendskilling” instead, and they’re doing so by releasing a video that shows off a batch of posters featuring characters from the new Scream movie that will be reaching theatres on January 14, 2022. These character posters can be seen in the Twitter embed below:

I believe the list of cast members who get posters goes like this: Neve Campbell, Melissa Barrera, Courteney Cox, Jenna Ortega, David Arquette, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnete, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, and Sonia Ammar. In that case, one confirmed cast member who got left out is Kyle Gallner.

Although the new film is simply titled Scream, it is a follow-up to the previous four movies, with Campbell, Cox, and Arquette reprising the roles of franchise regulars Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley, and Shelton playing her Scream 4 character Judy Hicks.

The new Scream is coming to us from Ready or Not (watch it HERE) directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt also produced the film for Project X Entertainment, alongside Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena serve as executive producers alongside original Scream writer Kevin Williamson.

The film has the following synopsis:

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
