Someone might want to fit Taylor Sheridan for a saddle because this man is a workhorse! After the chart-topping success of Yellowstone and second season renewal for 1883, new Taylor Sheridan projects have been announced!

The first project, titled Land Man, will star Billy Bob Thornton (Goliath, Sling Blade) as a crisis manager for an oil company. Based on the Boomtown podcast, Land Man is executive produced by Sheridan and David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, and David Hutkin. Production for Land Man will begin in 2023.

Sheridan’s second project, Lioness, has tapped Zoe Saldaña to star. Nicole Kidman is executive producing alongside others for the series. Per Deadline, Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program and follows a Marine recruited to befriend the daughter of a terrorist to bring the organization down from within. Saldaña stars as Joe, a strong-willed, hard-nosed station chief of the CIA’s Lioness Program who is tasked with training, managing, and leading her female undercover operatives working to assassinate the world’s most dangerous terrorists.

Lioness will be executive produced by Sheridan, Glasser,  Burkle, Yari, and Hutkin alongside Kidman via her production company Blossom Films, Saldaña, Kosinski, and Jill Wagner and showrunner Tom Brady. Production will roar to life in June.

In addition to 1883 being renewed for a second season, the show is also getting its own spinoff titled 1932, which will follow a new generation of Duttons during the time of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression.

The Sheridan Universe is expanding! Soon there won’t be anywhere to hide! Are you excited to hear about all of these new Taylor Sheridan projects?
