Universal Pictures‘ new Trolls Band Together trailer is here to take you on a psychedelic trip through the process of making one of this year’s most visually splendiferous animated adventures! The promo focuses on many filmmakers behind the high-haired threequel and the VFX magic used to create the stunning world of the Trolls. As the team speaks to the joy of pushing their talents and tools to the max, the new Trolls Band Together trailer highlights the film’s groovy textures, spectrum-redefining color palette, and imaginative locales.

In Trolls Band Together, Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick) discovers her partner, Branch (Justin Timberlake), was once a part of her favorite boy band, BroZone. Branch was a featured player in the band alongside Floyd (Sivan), John Dory (Eric André), Spruce (Daveed Diggs), and Clay (Kid Cudi). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby; the family hasn’t spoken since. When Floyd is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of pop-star villains – Velvet (Amy Schumer) and Veneer (Andrew Rannells) – Branch and Poppy embark on an emotional journey to reunite Branch’s family and rescue Floyd from a dark fate.

“It’s so much fun being back in the Trolls universe,” Trolls Band Together director Walt Dohrn says in the new trailer. “We really wanted Trolls Band Together to have its own identity.”

“Every film has had new materials and textures,” says Head of Locations Cassandra Fanning. “With this one, we really expanded on those.”

The new Trolls Band Together trailer features new characters, species, and ways of representing the vast diversity of the Trolls universe. From where I’m sitting, the sequel looks jaw-droppingly gorgeous, with plenty of humor and heart to satisfy audiences of all ages.
