New TV spot for Steven Spielberg-produced Terra Nova looks great!

It has been taking Fox’s Steven Spielberg-produced dino-show “Terra Nova” a little time to fly; you’ll remember that it was supposed to have a mega-premiere this month before airing in earnest in the fall, but Fox – citing concerns about the visual effects – decided to hold off on that and just launch the pilot in the fall as well. Nothing wrong with that; if you’re going to do something of this size, do it right. And based on the new commercial for the series, which offers the most extensive look at it yet, there’s plenty of reason to expect they’re doing it right.

While there are many moments in the ad that bring to mind other movies and series – I for one thought of JURASSIC PARK, “Lost”, STARGATE, AVATAR (to only name a few) – there’s no doubt that “Terra Nova” appears to be the epic adventure series we’ve been hoping for. Plus, dinosaurs… Can’t go wrong with dinosaurs.

The series, which stars Jason O’Mara, Stephen Lang, Shelley Conn, Landon Liboiron and Naomi Scott, doesn’t have a set premiere date, but you’ll be sure to get the news when we find out.
