Just yesterday The Arrow told you about how he kind of liked the movie THE INSIDE (A L’INTERIEUR). And by ‘kind of liked’ I mean ‘absolutely loved.’ The flick really does sound like something great from what I hear. But the news I’m bringing you isn’t about THE INSIDE, but the dudes who came up with it are the guys behind the new HELLRAISER flick.
THE INSIDE directors (and HELLRAISER helmers), Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, recently sat down with Twitch, where they spoke about the upcoming HELLRAISER remake. Bustillo had this to say:
“…we don’t want to remake exactly the Cliver Barker movie. We have met Clive and told him what we want to do with “HELLRAISER” and he said, “It’s f**king good do it!” We are happy to have his benediction. It will not be a remake. It will still be called “HELLRAISER” and it will have a new Pinhead.”
A new Pinhead? Hmm. Now if you read my last story on HELLRAISER, you’ll know I’m a Pinhead fan. I think he’s one of the better horror villans out there. So I’m not too wild about this little hint that he might be changed. Which also might mean no Doug Bradley as the head Cenobite. Then again the first film didn’t really center on Pinhead anyway, and I’m not giving up any hope seeing how THE INSIDE is supposed to be this great flick, and the two guys behind that are making HELLRAISER. Bustillo added a bit more about the project:
“Our story is very very different I promise! It will be cool!
