Nicole Kidman may join Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in Wonder Woman

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It's been quite a few years since Nicole Kidman last appeared in a comic-book movie, but according to The Wrap, she may be heading back to the world of costumed heroes once again. The outlet reports that Kidman is currently in negotiations to play a high-ranking Amazonian warrior alongside Gal Gadot in the upcoming WONDER WOMAN.

The Wrap doesn't have an official confirmation on which role Nicole Kidman would fill, but they suggest that Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons as well as Diana Prince's mother, would be a good possibility. Given Nicole Kidman's status, I'd think that it'd be unlikely that Warner Bros. would reach out to her with anything less. If you'd like to know a few WONDER WOMAN plot/character details, our Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey dropped several spoilery reveals just over a week ago; check them out here but beware, there will be spoilers.

Wonder Woman will first be introduced in the upcoming BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, before taking charge in her own solo movie which will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.

Would you be pleased to see Nicole Kidman in WONDER WOMAN? If her character isn't Hippolyta, who are some of the other possibilities?
