One Shot: Interview with Scott Adkins about his new film, rom coms, John Wick 4, and more

Scott Adkins has made quite the name for himself in action cinema. From big-budget films like The Bourne Ultimatum and X-Men Origins: Wolverine to franchise entries like The Expendables 2 and Ip Man 4, Adkins is one of the hardest working actors today. After having released 14 films over the last three years, Adkins is back with his newest project One Shot. A military thriller about a platoon defending a base against a terrorist onslaught, One Shot is ninety pulse-pounding minutes of non-stop action that also just so happens to be filmed as one continuous long take.

With One Shot premiering this past weekend, I got the chance to chat with Scott Adkins about the challenges of filming a movie like this with so much intricate action. We touched on elements of the recent gun-related tragedy on the set of Alec Baldwin’s Rust while also talking through what genres he is interested in tackling next. I tried to get some intel about his role in John Wick 4 as well as his upcoming film with Jamie Foxx, Day Shift. Check out my interview with Adkins above.

One Shot is now available to stream on-demand.
