Nobody knows yet what Woody Allen’s next film will be about but now we do know that it’ll star Owen Wilson. Wilson is attached to star in the film that will also reportedly co-star Carla Bruni-Sarkozy who previously mentioned she had a part in the film (this has yet to be confirmed by Allen’s reps though).
Because Woody can be such a shady character about his movies before they’re released, it’s unclear what type of role Wilson will have in the film. Will he be the so-called “Woody Allen surrogate” or will he be more of a supporting character (I’m gonna go with the former).
After MARLEY AND ME, Wilson took on two voiceover roles in FANTASTIC MR. FOX and MARMADUKE but he returns with two live-action films this year in LITTLE FOCKERS and the still untitled James Brooks movie with Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson. He’s currently filming HALL PASS with the Farrelly Brothers. Allen’s next film, YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER, hits theaters this fall.
