Word making the rounds on the old interweb is that PERKINS’ 14 now has an inkling of a release date.

Now you all may remember PERKINS’ 14 as that little horror project After Dark Films are producing. Teaming up with Massify.com, After Dark scowered the net for a pitch that would fit right into their Horrorfest formula… and it seems PERKINS’ 14 fits the bill! We last gave you an update on the flick back in May, since then things have been quiet regarding After Dark’s Horrorfest.

Now rumblings on the net are pointing at a January 2009 release date. This seems to be a tad out of left field in my opinion… isn’t the Horrorfest supposed to be during Fall? Guess not. This’ll be After Dark Films’ third annual Horrorfest, nothing great yet so here’s hoping.

PERKINS’ 14 follows a man named Robert Perkins who builds an army of 14 people brainwashed through cult-like methods to protect him from his parents’ killers. When Perkins is imprisoned, the police unwittingly unleash his followers on a small town and they’ve only got one thing on their mind: “Kill for Mr. Perkins.” It comes from a script by Lane Shadgett with Craig Singer directing. It stars Josh Davidson, Trey Farley, Katherine Pawlak (below), and Heather Tocquigny. As always, we’ll update you once we hear more on PERKINS’ 14 or any other Horrorfest entries.
