Peter Sarsgaard is the villain for Green Lantern

JoBloJoBlo

Over the weekend, Hal Jordan got a girlfriend and now he has a nemesis, Peter Sarsgaard.

Sarsgaard is in negotiations to play Dr. Hector Hammond. Who is Dr. Hammond? He’s a man with a giant head. Okay, obviously there’s more to it than that.

Hammond is the pathologist son of a senator who is a bit of a disappointment to Daddy. He gains psychic powers from strange meteor fragments that he finds in the woods.

The film is set to start in March in New Orleans. Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti are producing.

What do you guys think of this news? I am a huge fan of Sarsgaard so I can’t wait to see what he does with this character. I’m also sure he can pull off an arrogant, rich asshole supervillain.
