Back at the end of September we told you how Justin McConnell’s post-apocalyptic thriller THE COLLAPSED had scored itself some Canadian distribution. Now that was all fine and dandy but when the heck was this thing hitting the US?! Thankfully today we’ve got an answer to that question!

Courtesy of Otter Creek Motion Pictures, who scored the US rights to this little diddy, THE COLLAPSED will be hitting the US on DVD and Video-on-Demand starting February 28, 2012. Natch! Unfortunately no specs have been released for the DVD just yet but let’s not get greedy.

In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive against insurmountable odds. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home, Dover’s Bend.

The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries.

THE COLLAPSED stars an unknown cast of Canadians including John Fantasia, Steve Vieira, Lise Moule, Anna Ross, Vincent Thomas, Stefano Gallo, Kassandra Santos (below), Neil Green and Rick Cordeiro.

So there you have it folks. Mark it on your calenders – THE COLLAPSED drops in the US on DVD and Video-on-Demand on February 28th!
