Pratt, Strahovski, Gilpin, and Simmons star in sci-fi thriller Ghost Draft

Chris Pratt The Magnificent Seven

Chris Pratt starring in an alien invasion movie from the director of The Lego Batman Movie doesn't immediately sound like a project fitting for Arrow in the Head, as it could be a light comedic adventure… but as more details are revealed and the film is referred to as a "sci-fi thriller", it stirs up hope that this might be Arrow material after all.

The project has the working title GHOST DRAFT, and Chris McKay will be directing the film from a screenplay by Zach Dean and Bill Dubuque that is set

in a future where humanity is losing a war against aliens. To turn the tide, scientists draft soldiers from the past to fight the war.

Soldiers from throughout history working together to battle alien invaders sounds like a very promising concept to me.

Pratt is joined in the cast by Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, and J.K. Simmons. All we know about the characters is that Simmons will be playing Pratt's father.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Jules Daly, Adam Kolbrenner, and David S. Goyer are producing GHOST DRAFT, with Rob Cowan serving as executive producer and Samantha Nisenboim co-producing.

Filming on the Skydance production is set to begin next month and will take place in Iceland and Atlanta, Georgia.
