Prepare to be mutilated with the trailer for Texas Chainsaw 3D

Well, you knew it was coming and here it is; the first trailer for TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D.  There’s nothing here that looks any different from what we’ve seen before.  Attractive women, clueless guys, a strange house, and a guy with a chainsaw and masks of human faces.  Just your typical Sunday afternoon fare.

Directed by John Luessenhop (TAKERS) and starring Alexandria Daddario (HALL PASS), Tania Raymonde (Lost), Bill Moseley, Richard Riehle, and Scott Eastwood, the film is another jaunt down reboot lane, attempting to retell the story of Leatherface by setting in the 1970’s and helping to reestablish the series for another set of sequels with more of the same.

Have a look:

I don’t particularly dislike these films.  In fact, I find these to be more entertaining than the usual horror stereotypes as the filmmakers usually supply us with an R-rating and some particularly attractive stars to oogle.  Alexandria Daddario and Tania Raymonde don’t exactly singe my eyeballs, so this will likely work out just fine for what it is.  I don’t care for the 3D aspect, but whatever.  It is what it is.

TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D starts slicing things up on January 4, 2013.
