Prepare your bladders; No Time to Die looks to be the longest Bond film ever

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

No Time to Die, James Bond, Daniel Craig

Most films in the James Bond franchise run around two hours or a little more, but NO TIME TO DIE, the twenty-fifth film in the series as well as Daniel Craig's fifth and final film as the secret agent, will be pushing our bladders to the limit. Previously, the longest film in the franchise was SPECTRE at 148 minutes, but Regal Cinemas has seemingly revealed that NO TIME TO DIE will be setting a new record with its whopping 163 run-time, which is pushing nearly three hours long. Better go for the small drink this time around, folks.

Interestingly, Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond will include both the longest film in the franchise as well as the shortest, which would be QUANTUM OF SOLACE, which had a run-time of 106 minutes. While 163 minutes is certainly a little long for most theater audiences, I'm willing to take as much of Daniel Craig's James Bond as we can get; after all, this will be the last time.

NO TIME TO DIE will continue on where SPECTRE left off, with James Bond having left active service to begin a new life with Dr. Swann (Léa Seydoux), but Bond is soon brought back into action when Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) comes calling to enlist his help in searching for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before in a villain armed with dangerous new technology.

NO TIME TO DIE will hit theaters in the United Kingdom on April 2, 2020 and on April 8, 2020 in the United States.
