The upcoming murder cult flick JACKALS is a perfect blend of the current trends of genre filmmaking: A murder cult thriller set in the 1980's? Sign me up! I can't wait to see it! And we're at least one step closer to snagging a glimpse.
The flick, from director Kevin Greutert (SAW VI), just wrapped production. There's no word on a release date yet, but as the film heads into post, get excited for the sneak peeks that will certainly be coming soon!
The flick stars Stephen Dorff (BLADE, IMMORTALS) as:
a cult de-programmer hired by a family to get back their teenage son from a murderous cult, but find themselves under siege when the cultists surround their cabin, demanding the boy back.
The script was penned by Jared Rivet. JACKALS also stars Johnathon Schaech (QUARANTINE), Deborah Kara Unger (THE GAME), Ben Sullivan (Hell on Wheels), Chelsea Ricketts (Scream Queens), and Nick Roux (LEMONADE MOUTH).
The film was produced by Tommy Alastra Productions.
