After the somewhat succes of RAMBO, RAMBO 5 talk started almost immediately.
RAMBO definately made some waves, especially with us genra fans. The thing was an all out, balls to the wall action flick wtih Sly Stallone kicking ass left and right. There’s no possible way that would be anything but great. Since RAMBO hit theaters, talk of RAMBO 5 has gone up and down. Last week Mike gave us all the good news that Stallone was already working on the script!
Now today we have word from Screen Daily that Nu Boyana Studios are currently building 10 new sound stages in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. They’re also reporting that RAMBO 5 is one of the first films to start shooting at these new sound stages. Score!
Thing is, Bulgaria sounds like Rambo’s backyard… didn’t Sly want to do something new with the character? Only time will tell I guess. So it looks like, as of now, RAMBO 5 is moving forward and that’s all kinds of good news. The only downside I see to this is it messes up the perfect ending of RAMBO, but I’m sure Sly can think of another great ending to give us.
