Rambo: Last Blood red band trailer is a brutal ballet of carnage unleashed

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I believe that it was Elenor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) of NBC's THE GOOD PLACE who coined the phrase "Holy forking shirtballs!" Those are the exact words that went through my head while watching the new red band trailer for RAMBO: LAST BLOOD. As you can see from the relentlessly brutal trailer above, Sylvester Stallone is not forking around when it comes to covering John Rambo's last hurrah with blood, brain matter and plenty of cartel-derived giblets. As the footage plays on, we find Rambo dispatching a wealth of gun-toting foot soldiers left and right, springing traps set along a maze of underground tunnels. In fact, this collection of scenes is so brutal that you almost feel bad for the unsuspecting villains … almost.

Oh, and as if you couldn't tell by the watermark above, this mighty fine display of carnage comes courtesy of IGN.

Rambo: Last Blood, Sylvester Stallone, trailer

Here's the official plot for RAMBO: LAST BLOOD:

When the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped, Rambo (Stallone) — who has been working on a ranch — crosses the U.S.-Mexico border and quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent cartels.

Starring alongside Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo for the Italian and Navajo-born war vet's final mission are Adriana Barraza as Rambo's friend Maria; Yvette Monreal as Maria's granddaughter Gabrielle; Sergio Peris-Mencheta as murderous cartel leader Hugo Martinez; Óscar Jaenada as Victor Martinez; Paz Vega as Carmen Delgado, "a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped"; and Joaquin Cosio.

RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is bound to be one of the biggest film events of the year, and I can't wait to scream alongside my fellow Rambo fanatics when the film hits theaters real hard this Friday, September 20th.
